The Goal of the Social Studies Department at Lyle High School is the help create literate and well informed citizens who actively participate in a democratic society.
Curriculum
The Lyle High School 9-12 Social Studies Curriculum is a comprehensive study of our community, nation and world, offering students the skills and knowledge to thrive in an increasingly complex society. Basic Social Studies Classes at Lyle include World History, United States History, Contemporary World Problems, Civics, & Psychology.
Instructor
My name is Joe Bales and I've been teaching Social Studies Classes for 25 years. I've been at Lyle for 11 years. I started my teaching career at Glenwood High School, where I taught Social Studies Classes for 14 years.
